Membership in OSC is now 100 members strong!

Board elections for 2024 will be held in November with nominations being posted at the center Oct 21-Nov 20. Please give the nominating committee your name to get on the ballot if you are willing to serve. All board positions will be on the ballot.

A workday scheduled on Wed Oct 18 is to remove and store most of the back room in a trailer to get ready for the new paint and carpet. Activities such as pool, Tuesday and Thursday exercise, and Pinochle are anticipated to continue through this renovation.

Menu for Thursday Oct 19 - Tater Tot Casserole and Greek Salad: Friday Oct 20 - Korean Beef Bulgogi and Green Salad: Monday Oct 23 - Ham and Cheese Sandwich with Corn Chowder: Tuesday Oct 24 - Beef Stroganoff and Tossed Green Salad, Thursday Oct 26 - Fish and Chips with Coleslaw. Each menu includes fruit, dessert and a bread item when appropriate. Meals are provided by Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition (OCTN) for a suggested donation of $4.00 for 60 years and older and $10.00 for those under 60. Meals are open to the public and meal service is at 12:00. Doors are open at 10:30 so come early and enjoy socializing with other congregants. Coffee, tea and dessert are available before meal service in keeping with our motto “Life is Uncertain: Eat Dessert first”.

A 50/50 draw is planned for Tuesday Oct 24. A $1.00 ticket gives one chance to win one half of the draw.
