June 24 Yard and Bake Sale

A Yard and Bake Sale is planned for Saturday June 24 from 9-3:00.  The yard sale will be in the parking lot north of our building and the baked goods for sale will be in our dining room. If you have gently used items you are willing to donate to this fundraiser, please deliver them to the center on Friday, June 23 between 11:00 and 11:30 AM. We are asking that baked goods be delivered  by 9:00 AM on Saturday.  More volunteers to help with the set up, sale and clean up will be appreciated and anyone willing to bring fresh baked goodies will be awesome and appreciated. As the saying goes: More hands make all work easier!

It's official!  OCTN is going to offer 4 meals a week beginning on July 3, 2023.  We thank Jenifer Fitzhum, Nutrition Director for OCTN, for getting this additional day for Oroville.  Meals are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  This is a first for our center and we hope that congregants take full advantage of an additional meal. Steve and staff are doing a remarkable job and we appreciate their hard work.

The menu for Thurs June 22 - Chicken Enchiladas; Fri June 23 - Rueben Sandwich with Potato Salad; Tues June 27 - Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Caesar Salad.  A suggested donation of $4.00 for those age 60 and above and $10.00 for those under 60 is a very good deal in today's economy. We encourage the public to attend and get a meal, participate socially, and join if so inclined.

Life Flight Memberships are getting close to renewal. A membership in OSC is required for a Life Flight Membership through our organization. Only information I have at this time is all renewals go in at one time and that date is before July 15, 2023. More info in next weeks newsletter.

Pinochle scores for June 17 looks like a Firpo takeover!  HIGH: Len Firpo - 800 KINGS - Len Firpo and LOW - Darlene Firpo.  I've never heard of 800 KINGS so it must be something special!
