Senior News 06.15.23

The mission of the Oroville Senior Citizens is to provide seniors a safe and fun environment in which to connect and socialize and to provide information and services to area seniors. This was true in the beginning and remains our commitment today. 

OSC currently has 91 members and we are proud of that fact. Membership is only $10.00 a year and available for 55 years and older.  If you feel isolated or lonely or just not into cooking a meal, join us on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays anytime after 10:30 for the noon meal. Join the exercise group on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30. Play pool or put the puzzle together, make new friends.  Members are encouraged to invite family and friends to join in. 

The Saturday June 24 a yard and bake sale will be held at 9:00 AM.  Gently used items suitable for sale will be collected on June 23 between 11:00 and 11:30. No clothing please.  Baked goods will be brought the morning of the sale. We have volunteers for the sale and bakers of the goodies but would love to have more participants. Here's your chance to get involved and shine!

The menu for Thurs June 15 - Philly Steak Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries: Fri June 16 - Chicken Fettuccine and Caesar Salad: Tues June 20 - Lemon Pepper Fish Fillet and Pasta with Pesto Sauce. 

Pinochle scores for June 10 are HIGH: Ted Paris and LOW: Lani Thompson. A new mention: DOOR PRIZE: Raspberry Pie won by Rena Bedient.  The pinochle players are looking for players and are even willing to help you learn the game. Join them on Saturday evenings at 7:00.
