We are very pleased to welcome our new cook, Steve Snyman. Steve is going to be cooking for us on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Please join us for meals, introduce yourself and extend a welcome to him!  As some know, I originally worked for OCTN as a site director, then as a kitchen aide during the Covid shutdown when meals were only served as sack lunches and after the Covid restrictions were lifted, I didn't know how much effort and skill went into meal prep, presentation and clean up.  The cook has so much more; planning, ordering, execution, and paperwork after each meal. Kitchen staff work extremely hard to get the meals out to those who are on a home delivery schedule and our meals out at noon. Compliments and thanks from congregants are appreciated and make the labor worthwhile.

Meals for Thursday June 8, Deluxe Cheeseburger and Jo Jo's: Friday June 9, Chicken Parmesan and Garlic Pasta: Tuesday June 13, Salisbury Steak and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.  Of course every meal also has salad, fruit, bread, and dessert. Suggested donation for 60 years and older is $4.00 and a fee of $10.00 for those under 60.  Our meals are open to the public. It's a great deal and we appreciate OCTN who provides the staff and meals.

Please remember our visit by Lisa from Aging and Adult on June 13 who will be on hand to answer questions on topics of interest to seniors.  Feel free to take pamphlets and other literature that arrive monthly from various agencies.  All of these are designed to help navigate the many services available to seniors or caretakers of seniors.

Items for the yard sale June 24 are needed as are baked goods to be sold at the sale. Volunteers are necessary for this fundraiser  and the more the merrier!

Pinochle scores for June 3 are HIGH: Rena Bedient and LOW: Nita Likkel.  Sounds like this game night was not quite as exciting as last weeks when two players had massive scores.
