The Oroville Senior Citizens is a 501c3 organization. As such, certain donations to our organization can be tax deductible. The basic requirement is typically - you MUST have a receipt from our organization.  OSC will provide a tax receipt for donations over $20.00  If you volunteer service to a 501c3, it is important that you understand what expenses are tax deductible and what documentation is required to take the best advantage for your tax situation. It is always best to consult your tax advisor or the IRS due to the ever changing tax rules regarding donations to a 501c3.

The fund raising Yard and Bake Sale on Saturday June 24 was a huge success. A donation of a canoe really helped propel sales.  We thank that donor as well as all the other donors that provided items for this sale. We thank the board members who provided the baked goods and the work that made this sale a success. Special mention to our Senior Citizen of the Year - Betty Bair, for her help.  Anyone who has done a yard sale knows how much work goes into the collection, storage, set up, the sale itself, cleanup, and the storage or disposal of unsold items. If yard sales are in our future, more members will need to participate or it will become a thing of the past.
