OSC appreciates the public refraining from dumping ANY ITEMS OF ANY SORT at our doors. We definitely do not need the added expense for landfill runs. The Oroville Free Methodist church will take Medical Equipment only, and can be contacted at 476-2311.

OSC is renovating the back room and we will be removing items that will not be utilized in the future. These items are on our Facebook post and our website. Not all items are pictured but items can be viewed during open hours or by appointment. You can always email info@orovilleseniorcenter.com for more information. All items must be removed prior to October 13. There are many items including a computer desk, a steel office desk, a black executive office chair, misc chairs, a small TV/VCR combo, a 3 drawer/2 door cabinet, a white wooden cabinet, various bookcases in wood or metal, and a large magazine rack and more.

It seems that people are getting the hang of the 50/50 jackpot that OSC does twice a month as a fundraiser. A $1.00 ticket gives you a chance to split the total proceeds. Ticket sales start before the meal service and the draw happens on the same day.

Menus for Thursday Oct 5 - Chicken Fried Steak and Mashed Potatoes with Gravy; Friday Oct 6 - Garden Chili and Cottage Cheese; Monday Oct 9 - Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Caesar Salad; Tuesday Oct 10 - Hawaiian Chicken and Asian Vegetables; Thursday Oct 12 - Pork Roast with Stuffing and Gravy. Meals also include fruit, bread and dessert. Seniors 60 and over have a suggested donation of $4.00 and fee for over 60 is $10.00

Pinochle scores for Saturday Sep 30 are HIGH: Ted Paris and LOW: Barb Cline. The pinochle club is looking for players and willing to train anyone wishing to learn. Saturday nights 7:00 PM
