Let the renovations continue!

Members who attended the general meeting this month voted with the board on hiring a local interior decorator to help with the renovation of our back room should her pricing be competitive with other quotes!  She will be coordinating the carpet and painting as well as the room design to make the room more inviting and efficient.  She has a lot of experience with purchasing carpet and will coordinate with a contractor that will lay the carpet and paint the entire room.  She will provide samples and members will make the final decision on her recommendations.  We are expecting work to begin in September and with her coordination of the process, we are hopeful of minimal disruption.  We will be removing furniture and other items that will make this easier with most items being stored in a trailer onsite until the painting and carpet is completed.

Members are encouraged to stay involved with ideas that will reinvigorate our center.  Yes, there is pool, exercise classes on Tuesday and Thursday, Pinochle on Saturday evening, meals on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  What else can the center provide for our seniors? Your ideas are encouraged and welcomed.

Menus for Thursday Aug 31 - Beef and Broccoli with Steamed Rice; Friday Sept 1 - Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy; Monday Sept 4 -CLOSED for the LABOR DAY HOLIDAY; Tuesday Sept 5 - Fall Veggie Medley Soup with Focaccia Bread; Thursday Sept 7 - Tex Mex Beef Stew with Cornbread.

Pinochle scores for Aug 26 are HIGH: Ted Paris, LOW: Barb Cline, ROUND ROBIN, Rena Bedient: and no Double Pinochles this week.
