Wake Up Call to always be prepared

Oroville and outlying areas including neighbors in British Columbia were suddenly hit by a devastating wildfire in the early evening on Saturday July 29, 2023. This kind of event always brings terror and uncertainty to all affected. It is a reminder to have a plan in place to be able to evacuate at a moment's notice with everything needed to remain safely out of your home. We thank the Red Cross for immediately opening a shelter for those displaced. We pray for those who have suffered extraordinary loss due to this disaster.

A grateful thank you for our local fire fighters who always work tirelessly, the out of area fire units who have responded, the pilots flying the bombers, spotters, and helicopters. We know the risks involved in an unsafe environment that wild fires create, and pray for your safety as you battle this fire.
