Oroville Senior Citizens (OSC) is very proud to announce the election results for our Senior Royalty. Members have elected Gordon and Nancy Roberts to represent us in the May Day celebration which will be held on May 13, 2023. Congratulations to our King and Queen!

We are pleased to announce that our members  have elected Betty Bair as Senior of the Year. This is always a hard decision as many members deserve that honor. Congratulations to Betty!

Shirley Moser was the lucky winner of the Easter Basket raffle and many thanks to the donor of the basket.  It was a great fundraiser and hopefully more raffles are in our future!

Warehouse Thrift honored OSC as the beneficiary of their community outreach in March.  We received a very generous cash donation from them and we cannot thank them enough for honoring us.  This brings us to remember to shop local at every chance so we provide support to our local business community.  A very sincere thankyou to Steve and Iisla Bell, owners of Warehouse Thrift.

We are also thankful to those who donated their time and sale items as we had a very successful yard sale last weekend. Another sale is planned in early June.

Meals provided by Okanogan County Transportation & Nutrition (OCTN) are Fri Apr 21-Chicken Florentine on Pasta, Tues Apr 25-Chicken Fried Steak, and Thurs Apr 27-Chicken Fettuccine with Broccoli. Meals are offered for a suggested donation of $4.00 for over 60 years young  and $10.00 for under 60 years. Come in and enjoy the meals as membership is not necessary to participate in the OCTN food program offered at the center.

OSC was informed by OCTN, the provider of the staff and meals, that John has given his notice. He has provided delicious meals since January 2022 and will be definitely missed.  We thank John for all the hard work and dedication.  OCTN is actively seeking a new cook for us and is willing to offer staff an additional day per week. If anyone knows of a qualified cook, please direct them to call OCTN at 509-826-4391 and ask for Jennifer Fitzhum.

Pinochle scores for April 15 were HIGH-Len Firpo and LOW-Rene Bedient.  Still looking for players young, old or willing to learn!!
