Senior News 04.13.23

The Senior Center will be participating in the Oroville City-Wide Yard Sale on April 15, 2023.  Please plan on checking us out Saturday 9-3. We are hoping for a successful sale as it's one of our fund raising activities. We thank Cheryl Williams for taking the reins and making it possible for us to participate!!

We are fortunate that our members and the community at large continue to donate. Please know that we are appreciative of all the support. On that note, our center can be rented for private events. The facility can easily accommodate 80 people and rental rates are reasonable. Send your inquiry to info@orovilleseniorcenter.com

The center receives varied new information monthly on items pertinent to seniors. These include health news, care support for caregivers, county meetings involving senior topics, and activities occurring at local assisted living facilities. This information is located on the front desk, and we encourage the community to come in and take the info provided. The center is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM

Meals provided by Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition (OCTN) are:

Fri Apr 14-Broccoli Chicken Bake, Tues Apr 18-Pork Roast and Stuffing, and Thur Apr 20-Ham Sandwich Deluxe. Meals are offered for a suggested donation of $4.00 for over 60 years young and $10.00 for under 60 years. Come in and enjoy the meals and membership is not necessary to participate in the OCTN food program offered at the center. Perhaps you are new to the area and would like to get acquainted with fellow citizens. We encourage membership. Remember your membership entitles you to a great rate on LifeFlight membership for your family.

Please note that LifeFlight membership renews in early June of each year.

There are no pinochle scores for April 8.

Hope everyone had a joyous and peaceful Easter weekend.  Let's continue to pray for peace.
