General Membership Meeting Aug 15, 1:00 PM 

Major repairs to the walk-in freezer that were done at the beginning of 2023 have failed. Multiple attempts to correct the problems created when new components were installed on very old equipment have proved unreliable. Our appreciation to President Kally for spearheading the contact with Aging and Adult of Central Washington who agreed to purchase a new stand alone freezer and an additional refrigerator for our center. These commercial appliances will be arriving this week and we wish to thank AACW for their support. We also want to thank OCTN for their help with repair bills incurred after the major repair began to fail. We also need to thank Steve, our cook, for his work in tearing out the old pantry and preparing that area for the arrival of the new units. He is also preparing the old walk-in to become the new pantry. Everything in the old pantry had to have a new home so this was a major job and was performed without disruption to the meal program. Steve, you have done a beautiful job and we do appreciate your hard work.

Meals for Thursday Aug 10 - Beef Stroganoff and Garden Salad; Friday Aug 11 - Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy and Mashed Potatoes; Monday Aug 14 - Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Caesar Salad; Tuesday Aug 15 - Sweet & Sour Pork with Steamed Rice. There are occasions that substitutions of the entire meal or a portion of the meal occur due to product needed not being available at the time of delivery. All efforts to provide the meal as planned is a priority and substitution is only as needed. If you want to confirm the meal, staff can be reached at 476-2412 after 9:30 AM on the day you plan to attend.

Pinochle scores for Sat Aug 5 are HIGH - Lani Thompson; LOW - Seamus Firpo and MOST double pinochles were from Lani and Rob Firpo. If you are a card player, please feel free to join them on Saturday nights, 7:00 PM.
