Meals are being served 4 days a  week!

July starts a new era at the Senior Center as meals are now going to be served on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Meals are served at noon, and congregants are encouraged to come early.  Our motto Life is uncertain-Eat dessert firststill says it all. For those so inclined, dessert is out and ready to enjoy with coffee or tea before the meal is served.

As a reminder, meals are offered for a suggested donation of $4.00 for those 60 years and older, and $10.00 for those under 60 years. The menu for Thur July 6-Clam Chowder with a Turkey Sandwich; Fri July 7-Beef Stew and Biscuit; Mon July 10-White Bean Chicken Chili; and Tues July 11-Hot Dogs and Potato Salad.

OSC and other county senior centers are partnering with Okanogan County Public Health to distribute valuable information they want seniors to be aware of.  We regularly receive pamplets and flyers from other government agencies which can lead to valuable resources available to seniors and the public. Please come in and take advantage of all this information.

OSC is currently collecting Life Flight membership dues.  If you are a current member, (memberships are January – December each year) and want to renew your Life Flight membership, please look for our chairwoman at the center.  Dues must be paid before the deadline of July 15, 2023. If you aren't a current member and want to join Life Flight, a membership of $10.00 can be purchased and you can be enrolled for the fee of $65.00  Everyone hopes that this service won't be needed, but it's a small cost if transport to an out of area hospital is required.

Pinochle scores for Saturday July 1 are HIGH: Darlene Firpo and LOW: Rena Bedient.
