Senior News 05.25.23

Progress on the revitalization of our center is ongoing.  At this time, the bathrooms are getting new floors, new safety bars and fresh paint.  We  appreciate the donated labor and expertise of Kevin Myrick who is doing the floors and hardware. Flooring supplies have been donated along with a cash donation from a group from Molson represented by Kevin.

We are waiting for OCTN to announce when our new cook will be in the center for regular meals.  There are “behind the scenes” procedures the cook takes on besides cooking and must be trained on.  These include meal planning which is done three months in advance, ordering weekly meal supplies, and the daily paperwork that must be completed to satisfy OCTN requirements.  We are told it might be as soon as mid June.  Thank you Steve, OCTN and our patient congregants!

The meal for Friday, May 26 is Pasta Primavera w/Ham, Spiced Salad, Fruit Salad, Garlic Bread, and Dessert.

Pinochle scores for May 20 are HIGH; Lani Thompson, LOW; Lynda Rice, DOUBLE PINOCHLE; Lani Thompson.
