It takes a village.

The idiom “It takes a village” means that many people must cooperate to achieve a goal. It's commonly said about raising children but in this case it is used to motivate our members to get involved.  Proudly, we are 90 members strong! Volunteering is vital.  Bring your skills!!!

Our General Membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 16.  The time is at 1:00 and we hope that members will attend. Your board needs to share information and get the input from members.

Once again, It Takes A Village!

Please follow OSC on our social media sites at ww.orovilleseniorcenter.com; or on www.facebook.com/orovilleseniorcenter or www.instagram.com/orovilleseniorcenter.

Members are able to access board meeting business, treasurer reports, general meeting notes and other news thanks to our very efficient secretary.

At this time, congregant meals are provided on Friday until a cook is established for us by OCTN. We have been assured that the process is proceeding. The meal for Friday May 12 is Pot Roast, Herbed Potato Bake, Lettuce and Tomato Salad, Bread, Fruit and Oatmeal Cookies.

Members are still exercising on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30, Pinochle on Saturday at 7:00.

Daily pool for our members is encouraged as it's exercise and a great social activity. Please contact a board member if access to the building is wanted and it isn't open.

Pinochle scores for May 6 are HIGH; Lani Thompson, LOW; Nita Likkel, and Most Double Pinochles; Barb Cline.

We hope the community has an enjoyable and safe May Day festival on May 13. We appreciate the gorgeous convertible provided by Walt and Vickie Hart that will carry Gordon and Nancy Roberts, our Senior Royalty, through the parade. Remember and celebrate mothers on their day of celebration, May 14.

Something to contemplate: Nothing is possible without mothers as they really are the beginning!
