OSC wishes All a Very Peaceful Christmas and a Safe Holiday Season

I apologize for such short notice but here’s a chance for an awesome gift. Oroville’s own gifted member, author and columnist will be in the Activity Room on December 19 between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm for her book signing. Joyce Emry aka “Boots” has a new book, “The Ups and Downs of my Hometown" covering Boots’ view of Oroville from 1943 until now. The cost of her book is $10.00 and I have no doubt it will be worth the read.

OCTN, provider of transportation throughout the county, has offered to take our seniors on a tour of the local CHRISTMAS LIGHTS on Sunday December 22 @ 5PM SHARP. There are 12 seats available (sign-up sheet is in the dining room or email to info@orovilleseniorcenter.com to be included). Seats are available for a small donation to OCTN at the time of the event. Thank you to OCTN and our driver Debbie for this awesome offer. If you know of or have a great light display. please use the email so the address can be added to the tour.

The Activity Room door has been finished and it is lovely. Our thanks to David Hockett Construction for the beautiful job and getting it done before winter. Donations in the past year have been very instrumental in this renovation and we are thankful.

OSC is a 501 c3 tax exempt charity and any and all donations are truly appreciated. Meal for Thursday Dec 19 - Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Caesar Salad: Friday Dec 20 - Baked Fish, Roasted Red Potatoes and Focaccia Bread. No Meals the week of Christmas Dec 23 to Dec 27.

Pinochle scores for Saturday Dec 14 are HIGH: Nita Likkel, LOW: Darlene Firpo DOUBLE PINOCHLES: Darlene, Ted, Lenore and Paul
