Update - Back Room Renovation

The renovation of the back room is moving forward. At the September 19th General Membership Meeting carpet & paint samples were previewed and a majority vote selected the new color scheme (greenish carpet, neutral paint & off white trim). Coordinating the paint and carpet install is Welcome Home Interior Design (Brianne Smith). Project start date is anticipated to be Nov 1 and take approximately 2-3 weeks.

Members are encouraged to remove any personal items at the center (seat cushions, clothing items etc) as anything left may be permanently removed and not brought back following the renovation. Everything will have to be taken off the walls and furniture that will be returned to the room will be stored in order to clear the space for the paint & carpet install. In addition to the paint & carpet facelift it is anticipated there will be some reorganization of the activity areas to enhance the room’s functionality. A new ‘book nook’ reading area, updated cabinetry and a facelift to the bus driver counter area in addition to our puzzler space, craft area and regular card games areas are all anticipated.

A Christmas Social / Open House is being planned for early December to introduce the renovated space to members & the community.
