MEMORIAL DAY, A DAY FOR REMEMBRANCE

Memorial Day is a day for mourning and honoring the military members who have fought and died for our freedom. This quote from Beth Pennington “As we set today aside to honor and thank our veterans, let us be mindful that we should do this every day of the year and not just one”. As we enjoy this Memorial Day, let us remember the sacrifice of those that gave all for our freedom.

Menu for Thursday May 23 - Swedish Meatballs, Egg Noodles and Steamed Carrots: Friday May 24 - Country Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy and Green Beans: Monday May 27 - CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY: Tuesday May 28 - Bacon & Egg Salad on a Croissant and Spinach Salad: Thursday May 30 - Chicken Burger Deluxe with Bacon and Swiss, Jo Jo’s and Coleslaw. Bread and dessert are also part of the daily selection. Every effort is made to provide the meal as printed, but on occasion substitution is necessary due to product unavailability. Meals are open to the public and are served promptly at noon. Seniors 60 and older have a suggested donation of $5.00 and those under 60 pay $12.00.

Pinochle scores for Saturday May 18 are HIGH: Nita Likkel with 5820, LOW: Lenore Bouchard, DOUBLE PINOCHLES: Lani Thompson, Nita Likkel, and Darlene Firpo. Pinochle players meet every Saturday with the game starting at 7:00 and all are welcome!
