Oroville May Day Festival Sat the 11th

The parade starts at 10:00 and as most know, it’s good to get your seating staked well before the start! It’s always a blast watching the little kids chase the candy that’s thrown by those riding in the parade. We wish our royalty, Jim and Shirley, a most memorable day.

Aging and Adult has announced that the 2024 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) has begun. This program provides an $80.00 benefit card to qualifying participants to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, cut herbs and honey from locally participating farmers markets and stands. You can apply at www.aaccw.org or request an application by emailing aaccw.fm@dshs.wa.gov. There are also applications at the center that can be mailed if that is easiest for you. Devi plans to be at the center on Tuesday the 14th at 11:00 am and will be available to help with your application if needed.

The general membership meeting is Tuesday the 14th at 1:00. Attending the meeting keeps members involved and helps define the direction OSC goes.

Menu for Thursday May 9 - BBQ Chicken, Macaroni Salad, and Strawberry Shortcake: Friday May 10 - Fish & Chips, Cabbage and Apple Slaw: Monday May 13 - Sloppy Joe Sandwich, Jo Jo’s and Coleslaw: Tuesday May 14 - Spaghetti & Meat Sauce, Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread: Thursday May 16 - Hawaiian Chicken, Wild Rice Blend and Asian Vegetables.
